Gabion Systems

The Gabion System offers the customer the most cost effective and rapidly deployed retaining wall system. Manufactured from welded mesh produced in the UK, our products are available in both Galvanised and PVC coated finishes.

All products carry BBA and CE certification and conform to all relevant British and European specifications. The mesh configuration is nominally 75mm x 75mm and all gabions should be filled with a frost resistant durable stone such as limestone or granite of block size 100-200mm. A variety of wire diameters are available:

3mm & 4.55mm Galvanised
2.70mm and 3.80mm PVC coated
or Stainless steel in 304 or 316 quality.

The Gabions are available to order in just about any dimension to suit the mesh size, but the following sizes are available from stock:

1m x 1m x 1m
2m x 1m x 1m
2m x 1m x 0.5m
1.5m x 1m x 1m

The Gabion System is the only system available in the market to feature factory fitted helical joints for the quickest possible assembly time. Additional accessories are also available on request to further reduce assembly and installation time.

Joining pins are used at the front and rear connections of each adjacent unit and take only seconds to fit. Traditional lacing methods are far more time consuming and less reliable.

The preformed spiral joint provides the quickest and safest joint to gabion panels If fitted correctly the spiral coil will conceal any possible sharp edges of the steel mesh, making them ideal for use in public spaces.

Gabions are supplied flat packed with all vertical joints connected with continuous spiral coils. Lacing wire is supplied as standard.
